Conditions for obtaining service

  • Doing the necessary maintenance for the vehicle before conducting the modification process.
  • The process shall be done on the same roads taken by the vehicle and the locations where the vehicle work daily and with the same loads and work circumstances.
  • The vehicle driver (on his charge) is the driver for the duration of modification period.
  • Covering enough working hours to obtain fair and true rates.
  • If there was air-conditioning in the vehicle it is turned on for half of the covered distance.

Procedures

  1. After transferring the letter from the requesting party to the concerned parties, the Ministry of Energy shall notify each of the representatives of the Audit Bureau and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing with the appropriate appointment according to a schedule prepared for that.
  2. The modification committee consisting of the representatives who were designated shall inspect the vehicle so that its technical condition is generally acceptable.
  3. The committee shall conduct the necessary procedures duly to determine the fuel consumption rate of the vehicles and an application is filled for this purpose and certified by the representatives. 

Required Documents

  • An official letter directed by the party requesting the service to each of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Audit Bureau and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to designate their representatives.
  • The record of the vehicle to be modified stating the total of the covered distances or the completed hours and the amount of fuel consumed.
